Qualifications

• Licensure as a professional electrical engineer is required at appointment.
• Three years of professional electrical engineering experience in design or management of major construction projects and capital improvement programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of capital improvement and construction projects from planning through completion.
• Review, approve, and manage electrical plans, specs, estimates, and contract documents for compliance with codes and standards.
• Oversee bidding activities, bid openings, and award recommendations; ensure procurement complies with requirements.
• Monitor project expenditures and maintain budgets; review change orders and progress payments.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies, contractors, and project stakeholders to resolve design and construction issues.
• Maintain thorough project documentation and ensure compliance with state laws and audit requirements.
• Perform limited electrical design for in-house projects when needed.
