Position Responsibilities for Electrical Project Manager:

• Initiate, attend, coordinate, and/or conduct meetings and activities as directed by the V.P. of Operations
• Manage schedules, project progress, shop drawing requirements, and material deliveries in collaboration with supervisors, trade contractors, and suppliers to meet project objectives and deadlines
• Monitor project performance to ensure timely completion within budget, quality standards, and compliance with plans and specifications
• Assist employees in identifying and resolving obstacles to meet project schedules
• Coordinate with Project Coordinators on personnel and scheduling to facilitate weekly action plans
• Assist in billing, invoice approval, and review of project costs and reports
• Provide weekly project updates to the V.P. of Operations
• Review blueprints and project documents to develop management strategies
• Conduct project estimating to ensure projects are attainable within quotes and timelines
• Oversee subcontractors and monitor performance for compliance
• Participate in employee performance reviews
• Foster cooperative relationships with managers, supervisors, workers, and clients
• Understand the scope of work of other trades at the site
• Perform routine inspections for scope, standards, and code compliance
• Maintain knowledge of building construction and electrical formulas
• Plan and organize tasks to meet deadlines
• Document project situations accurately and timely for legal protection
• Follow NEC, state, and local codes
• Adapt management style to changing work plans
• Maintain knowledge of security, fire alarm, HVAC, and environmental systems
• Enforce OSHA requirements
• Understand mechanical systems interfacing with electrical work
• Report accidents or incidents promptly
• Inspect subcontractor performance
• Assist in project closeouts and record-keeping
• Develop new business relationships and maintain existing ones through community and professional engagement
• Use company estimating software for change orders and estimates
• Participate in training to update skills

Experience and Qualification Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years experience in commercial and/or residential electrical field
• Experience in new construction projects
• Valid driver’s license

Qualification Requirements:

• Knowledge of multi-family projects
• Completion of an accredited apprenticeship program

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, sit, and lift regularly
• Effective communication skills in English
• Ability to use arms and hands for signaling, grabbing, holding, and operating tools
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Work at heights, climb ladders, and work off platforms with fall protection
• Work in all weather conditions with appropriate PPE
• Wear PPE including hard hats, safety glasses, ear plugs, masks, vests, gloves, and safety boots
