Job summary

GFT in Mechanicsburg, PA seeks an Sr. Project Manager, Electrical to lead electrical design projects within our Buildings and Places group. The role merges design work with project management, offering a hybrid work model and close collaboration with multinational teams.

The ideal candidate brings 15+ years in A/E/C, a PE/PM background (PMP preferred), and strong communication skills to interface with clients and owners. Competitive compensation and benefits included.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in the A/E/C industry.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent PM experience including PMP certification.
• Experience reviewing engineering drawings for constructability and estimating.
• Experience with or willingness to learn Revit MEP and AutoCAD.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Excellent communications skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team.
• Excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Project management of a team of engineers/designers to complete electrical design projects.
• Coordinate with other disciplines for project success.
• Interface with clients and owners.
• Write project specifications.
• Manage project budgets.
• Meet with clients to obtain future work.
• Design building and site lighting systems.
• Design electrical distribution equipment.
• Design security, communication and life safety systems.
• Assist with field installation oversight for low voltage design-build.
• Attend meetings with architects and other engineering disciplines.
• Occasional out-of-town travel for site surveys and meetings.
• Ensure electrical design complies with codes and regulations.
• Compile documentation for permit applications and agency review.
• Perform construction site visits and write field reports.
