GFT in Mechanicsburg, PA is seeking a Sr. Project Manager, Electrical to lead electrical design projects within our Buildings and Places group. The role blends design work with project management in a hybrid office setting.

You will oversee a team of engineers and designers, interface with clients, manage budgets, and ensure codes compliance. Candidates should have 15+ years in A/E/C, a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, PMP, and experience with Revit MEP/AutoCAD. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in the A/E/C industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent PM experience with PMP.
• Experience reviewing engineering drawings for constructability and estimating.
• Experience with or willingness to learn Revit MEP and AutoCAD.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

What you’ll be challenged to do:

This is an excellent career opportunity for an experienced, motivated Electrical Project Manager who thrives in a collaborative team environment. You will be doing a combination of design work as well as managing projects.

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Project Management of a team of engineers/designers to complete electrical design projects.
• Coordinate with other disciplines as required for a successful project.
• Interface with clients and owners.
• Writing project specifications.
• Managing project budgets.
• Meet with clients for the purpose of obtaining future work.
• Manage design of building and site lighting systems.
• Manage design of electrical distribution equipment.
• Manage design of security, communication and life safety system equipment.
• Assist with the field installation oversight for low voltage design-build automation projects
• Attend meetings with the project team, including architects and other engineering disciplines.
• Occasional out of town travel for site survey and meetings will be required.
• Ensure electrical design complies with electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
• Compile documentation for permit applications and agency review.
• Perform construction site visits and write field reports.

What you will bring to our firm:

• Minimum of 15 years experience in the A/E/C industry
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineeringor equivalent project management experienceincluding a PMP certification
• Experience with reviewing engineering drawings for constructability and estimating
• Experience with or willingness to learm Revit MEP, AutoCad
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Excellent communications skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team
• Excellent attention to detail

Compensation:

The salary range for this role is $120,000 - $175,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
