Job summary

McKim & Creed is seeking a Senior Electrical Project Manager (Electrical PE) to join our BEI unit in the Houston, TX office. You will lead electrical engineering projects within a multi-discipline team, interfacing with clients and driving high-quality service.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years of experience, PE certification (or reciprocity), and expertise in building power, lighting, telecom, and fire alarm systems. This role offers growth, mentorship, and cross-office opportunities.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience in electrical project management.
• PE certification or ability to gain via reciprocity.
• Experience in building power, lighting, telecom, and fire alarm systems.

Responsibilities

• Acts as the client interface for project matters and frequently interacts and works directly with clients.
• Leads and oversees the technical and design services for electrical engineering projects as part of a multi-discipline project team.
• Supervisory responsibilities include coaching, mentoring, and developing the team while identifying and recruiting new regional staff.
• Allocates resources, balances manpower, assigns to projects, and ensures budgets are met.
• Performs preliminary evaluations, prepares reports, produces design drawings, writes technical specs, and prepares permit submittals.
• Sourced new clientele and delivers responsive, high-quality service through operational excellence.
• Prepares proposals and presents project presentations to clients.
• Collaborates with other departments to support sales and delivery of McKim & Creed's services.
• Stays current with local, state & federal design standards and regulations.
