Job summary

Workspire is seeking a Senior Electrical Project Manager in Dallas–Fort Worth, TX to own the electrical scope from mobilization through commissioning on a large data center project. This fully onsite role requires strong electrical construction knowledge and disciplined project controls.

You will manage cost, schedule, safety, documentation, and field coordination while serving as the owner/GC/subcontractor liaison and mentoring onsite electricians and foremen.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of PM experience leading electrical construction scopes for data centers or mission-critical facilities.
• Ownership of RFIs, submittals, schedules, cost controls, change orders, procurement, and project documentation.
• Experience leading electrical field teams and subcontractors in fast-paced environments.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA construction requirements, and QA/QC practices.

Job description

Location: Dallas-Fort Worth, TX | Fully onsite

Compensation: $140,000 - $170,000 base salary, based on experience

Schedule: Six 10-hour shifts per week during active project execution

About the Role

Workspire is partnering with an established specialty contractor supporting complex electrical and infrastructure projects across the United States. The organization is expanding its mission-critical construction capabilities and is seeking a proven project leader to help deliver a large-scale greenfield data center development.

The Senior Electrical Project Manager will own the electrical scope from early field mobilization through commissioning and energization. Reporting to project leadership, this person will be responsible for cost, schedule, quality, safety, documentation, and field coordination while serving as a key point of contact for the owner, general contractor, subcontractors, and internal teams.

This is a fully onsite, field-centered role for a project manager who is comfortable making decisions close to the work. The ideal candidate brings strong electrical construction knowledge, disciplined project controls, and the ability to lead teams through a demanding mission-critical schedule.

What You’ll Do

First 6 to 12 Months

• Lead delivery of a 20 MW+ high-voltage electrical scope for a hyperscale client through EFO and TFO milestones.
• Launch a field-driven execution plan that meets project schedule and budget targets.
• Maintain a zero-incident safety focus while reinforcing consistent project quality standards at scale.
• Drive factory acceptance testing, site acceptance testing, and medium-voltage energization in accordance with the National Electrical Code, NFPA 70E, and owner requirements.
• Mentor onsite electricians, foremen, and subcontractor teams while establishing clear expectations for safety, quality, and performance.

Project Leadership and Controls

• Lead the electrical scope of a large mission-critical project from mobilization through commissioning, turnover, and energization.
• Develop and maintain an execution plan that aligns field activities with schedule, budget, productivity, safety, and quality expectations.
• Own project cost controls, forecasting, scheduling, labor planning, and productivity reporting in partnership with project leadership.
• Lead owner and general contractor coordination meetings, internal planning sessions, and daily field huddles.
• Identify project risks early, communicate impacts clearly, and drive timely solutions with internal and external stakeholders.

Electrical and Field Execution

• Manage RFIs, submittals, drawing updates, change orders, and associated logs throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee electrical quantity takeoffs, procurement coordination, material readiness, and installation sequencing.
• Build, price, negotiate, and track change events while maintaining accurate supporting documentation.
• Coordinate subcontractor onboarding, scope alignment, compliance, performance, and closeout activities.
• Partner with field leadership to direct electricians, foremen, and subcontractors while maintaining clear accountability for production goals.
• Support factory and site acceptance testing, medium-voltage energization, and other commissioning milestones in accordance with project and owner requirements.
• Ensure field execution complies with applicable electrical codes, safety requirements, project specifications, and quality standards.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of project management experience leading major electrical construction scopes for data centers or other mission-critical facilities.
• Demonstrated ownership of RFIs, submittals, schedules, cost controls, change orders, procurement, and project documentation.
• Experience leading electrical field teams and subcontractors in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment.
• Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code, NFPA 70E, OSHA construction requirements, and electrical QA/QC practices.
• Proficiency with construction management, estimating, and scheduling platforms such as Procore, Accubid, Primavera P6, or comparable systems.
• Clear, confident communication skills and the ability to represent the project effectively in owner- and contractor-facing settings.
• A hands-on leadership style, sound judgment, strong attention to detail, and a consistent focus on safety and quality.
• Ability to work fully onsite on a six-day project schedule.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with medium-voltage commissioning, factory acceptance testing, site acceptance testing, and energization activities.
• Experience delivering hyperscale or similarly complex data center projects.
• PMP certification or a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Electrical safety credentials aligned with NFPA 70E.
• Spanish-language skills that support communication with diverse field teams.
