Job summary

Affiliated Engineers, Inc. (AEI) is seeking a Senior Electrical Project Engineer - Substation Power Systems to lead the power systems design process for critical projects. You will work with clients and partners to deliver energy‑efficient solutions and support a multi‑discipline project team.

The role requires 10+ years in MV/HV design, strong communication, and team leadership. Opportunities span healthcare, research labs, federal and industrial markets, with a flexible, collaborative culture

Qualifications

• BSEE from an ABET accredited program.
• Professional engineering registration required; ability to obtain licensure in various states as needed.
• 10+ years of experience designing MV or HV power distribution, and/or generation, and/or transmission systems.
• Proficiency in power engineering design software (power systems modeling, SCCAF).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment, mentoring, delegating work, and giving/receiving constructive feedback.

• Lead overall power systems design on assigned projects.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and project partners.
• Mentor and coordinate project team across disciplines.
