Job summary

Affiliated Engineers, Inc. seeks a Senior Electrical Project Engineer - Substation Power Systems to lead complex power design efforts. You will drive the design process, coordinate with clients and partners, and mentor project teams to deliver MV/HV solutions across sectors.

The role emphasizes substations, protection, switchgear, SCADA, and DER integration, with a focus on collaboration and innovative engineering excellence.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• Professional engineering registration with ability to licensure in multiple states.
• 10+ years designing MV/HV power distribution, generation or transmission.
• Proficient in power engineering design software including power systems modelling (SCCAF).
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with clients and teams.
• Mentorship and leadership capabilities in project settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead the power systems design process on assigned projects.
• Develop relationships with clients and project partners.
• Coordinate substation design, relaying/protection and SCADA aspects.
• Guide teams and ensure design solutions meet project needs.
