Job summary

Bartlett & West is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design electrical systems for a variety of projects within the MEP group in the Kansas region. The role requires collaboration with Project Managers to define scope, estimates, and schedules, and to ensure quality and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate will have 4–8 years of engineering experience, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and licensure expectations (E.I.T required, P.E. preferred). Travel is expected infrequently.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architectural, electrical (building systems background) engineering or related engineering field required.
• 4-8 years engineering experience in appropriate discipline required.
• E.I.T. required, P.E. preferred.
• Must obtain professional licensure in the states required by company as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems and drawings for projects within the MEP group.
• Collaborate with Project Manager to define scope, estimates, and schedules.
• Prepare cost estimates and assist in pricing contracts.
• Direct production of deliverables, including plans and specifications.
• Ensure quality control and adherence to codes.
• Serve as Engineer of Record as needed.
