Job summary

Bartlett & West, based in Topeka, KS, seeks an entry-level Electrical Engineer to assist in designing civil engineering projects within our MEP team. This role includes training under a Registered Professional Engineer to increase functional and technical knowledge and skills.

You will design electrical systems for higher-education, industrial, commercial buildings, public works, and transportation projects while collaborating with a project team and supporting business development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering required.
• 0–5 years engineering experience in mechanical/electrical/plumbing design strongly preferred.
• E.I.T. preferred and proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit.

Responsibilities

• Develop plans and specifications for electrical projects within the MEP group.
• Focus on electrical work such as lighting, power distribution, and building systems.
• Collaborate with a project team and directors on design and analysis.
• Perform site investigations and document existing conditions.
• Assist with engineering analysis, calculations and design reports.
• Attend industry events and support proposals and fee development.
