Job summary

Bartlett & West is seeking an entry-level Electrical Engineer to assist in designing civil electrical systems within the MEP group. You will train under a Registered Professional Engineer to grow technical knowledge and work on projects across higher-education, industrial, commercial, and public works sectors.

Role emphasizes collaboration, independent work when possible, and involvement in design, analysis, and project support for power distribution, lighting, and related systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering required.
• 0–5 years in mechanical/electrical/MEP design preferred.
• EIT or PE licensure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop plans and specifications for electrical projects within the MEP group.
• Focus on lighting, building power systems, and distribution design.
• Design new or renovation projects, perform site investigations, document conditions.
• Collaborate with a Project Manager and other team members.
• Assist with engineering analysis, designs and calculations; write reports.
• Support contract administration, RFIs, pay estimates, and submittals.
• Utilize AutoCAD and Revit to design and analyze projects.
