Job summary

CannonDesign is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to join a multi-disciplinary team working on healthcare and other large-scale facilities. You will design electrical systems, lead design efforts, and prepare construction documents for complex projects such as Mayo Clinic facilities, with travel and client-facing responsibilities.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years of experience, a US PE license, and proficiency in Revit, AGI32, Visual, and SKM Power Tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of related experience.
• Current PE license in the United States.
• LEED accreditation preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Life Safety Codes.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and engage clients.
• Experience with engineering design software (Revit, AGI32, Visual, SKM Power Tools).

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical engineering systems design for building construction.
• Lead project teamwork sessions.
• May serve as project manager or engineering leader and lead meetings.
• Adhere to financial and work goals on projects.
• Design lighting, power distribution, signaling, telecommunications per codes.
• Prepare construction documents with drawings and specs; guide junior staff.
• Review shop drawings and submittals; respond to RFIs and changes.
• Conduct site visits to verify conditions and observe progress.
• Attend construction meetings; travel as required.
• Maintain professional attire for client meetings.
