Job summary

Skiller Staffing LLC seeks a Senior Project Engineer – Electrical to lead design of electrical systems for buildings in Des Moines, IA, collaborating with architects, civil engineers, and construction teams.

You will guide projects from concept through construction documentation, ensure code compliance, and mentor junior engineers while contributing to ongoing knowledge sharing across the team. Hybrid or on-site work in Des Moines preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or architectural engineering (electrical focus).
• 6+ years designing electrical systems for buildings (5+ with a Master's).
• Experience with K-12 schools and municipal building design preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical system design from concept through construction documents.
• Coordinate with AHJs and utilities to ensure code compliance.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal knowledge sharing.
• Support QA/QC, estimating, and site observations during construction.
