Job summary

IMEG is hiring an Electrical Project Designer in Urbandale, IA to lead electrical system design for low to moderate complexity building projects and support larger, higher complexity work in collaboration with senior staff. This role emphasizes engineering analysis, design, and oversight of electrical systems for buildings.

You will mentor staff, monitor budgets and schedules, and collaborate across teams to meet project goals with a focus on energy-efficient design and higher-education projects.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent required.
• 3 years of experience minimum; 4 preferred in building design consulting.
• 7 years of experience minimum; 8 preferred in building design or construction.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical system design for low to moderate complexity building projects.
• Support larger and higher complexity projects with senior staff.
• Conduct design analyses and prepare calculations and drawings per IMEG standards.
• Engage with clients to gather requirements and communicate technical information.
• Lead project planning, budgeting, and scheduling to meet deadlines.
