Job summary

You will liaise with internal teams to ensure designs meet company standards, industry codes, and project budgets and schedules. The role requires senior-level expertise in electrical design, 480V systems, VFDs, and power distribution, and a PE designation.

Qualifications

• 7 years progressive experience in electrical engineering design and commissioning.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university.
• Strong background in 480V and motor controls.
• Strong background in VFDs, medium voltage switchgear, and power distribution systems.
• Strong background in power industry standards and practices.
• Professional Engineer designation.

Responsibilities

• Supports development of project scope, schedule, capital cost estimates and risk for facility projects.
• Ensures electrical facilities are designed per regulations, codes and corporate standards.
• Oversees electrical design deliverables by third party firms against budget and schedule.
• Reviews electrical design deliverables like drawings, reports and material lists.
• Evaluates vendor quotations and selects based on technical merit, price and delivery.
• Reviews lessons learned and applies them to future designs.
• Provides technical support to Construction and guidance to junior engineers.
