Job summary

Rexel USA in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist to lead sourcing strategies, review branch assortment, and optimize replenishment across the regional distribution network. You will monitor inventory levels, adjust replenishment settings, and expeditiously progress purchase orders to ensure product availability.

You will negotiate supplier terms to improve margins, collaborate with commercial teams to align procurement with strategy, mentor new staff, and drive inventory

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional purchasing/buying experience in the Electrical Distribution Industry
• High School or GED – Required
• 4 Year / Bachelor’s Degree – Preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct Branch assortment reviews with Branch Manager twice yearly
• Act as liaison between commercial and procurement teams to align strategies
• Communicate national and regional supplier and procurement strategies
• Provide mentorship, training, and guidance to new team members
• Stock procurement/replenishment for Branch/Customer Solution Centers and supplier lines
• Review critical items below minimum, allocations, or stockouts daily
• Meet or exceed item availability service levels and inventory turns
• Assist with cost maintenance issues and supplier returns negotiations
