Job summary

Siemens is looking for an Electrical Service Specialist to perform startup, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of medium and low voltage electrical power systems in the Tempe, AZ area.

You will lead installation, wiring, and field support, train customer personnel, and prepare detailed reports. The role requires strong testing experience, protective relays knowledge, and the ability to lift heavy equipment, with US work authorization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5+ years troubleshooting and repairing electrical control circuits; thermography certification.
• 5+ years of electrical testing on medium/low-voltage systems.
• 5+ years of using electrical test sets for AC/DC testing and transformer tests.
• Experience interpreting protective coordination studies and configuring protective relays.
• Reading bills of material, electrical blueprints, and power system study reports.
• Installation, commissioning, and maintenance of low/medium voltage power distributions systems.
• Knowledge of arc flash/shock hazards of 13.8 kV and equipment.
• Knowledge of ANSI, NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and NETA codes.
• Must lift up to 75 pounds.
• MS Office proficiency.
• Must be 18+, valid driver's license and eligible for fleet vehicle program.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation and checkout of electric and electronic components for systems and service jobs.
• Install wiring and perform emergency troubleshooting of power distribution products.
• Provide onsite technical and operational support for design, installation, and maintenance of complex equipment.
• Train customers to operate and inspect complex equipment and prepare activity reports.
• Plan labor categories, material costs, and transportation for complex proposals.
• Be available for emergency and relief assignments.
