Job summary

GE Aerospace seeks an Electrical Systems Engineer to lead high‑reliability digital power conversion and electric drive systems, spanning architecture, design, verification, and validation of Thermal Management Systems. You will drive cross‑functional integration across systems, hardware, test, and manufacturing to ensure safe, robust, and compliant solutions for safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (MS or Ph.D.) in Electrical Engineering with emphasis in power electronics, power conversion, or electric drives.
  • Significant experience (15+ years) in electrical engineering and electrical systems engineering for aerospace or similarly demanding applications.
  • Proven experience leading design, verification, and validation of power conversion hardware (DC/DC, AC/DC, DC/AC) and associated control electronics.
  • Experience with high‑voltage systems, insulation coordination, and HV testing and qualification activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across cross‑functional technical teams and manage technical scope, schedule, and risk.

Responsibilities

  • Own system‑level requirements flow‑down for digital power conversion hardware.
  • Document and communicate design decisions, analyses, and test outcomes through formal reports.
  • Lead architecture and detailed design of digital power conversion for high‑voltage aerospace applications.
  • Plan and execute verification and validation of digital power hardware and systems.
  • Define insulation coordination and HV design rules for converters and drive systems.
  • Design and review PCBs and schematics for power stages and control boards.
  • Lead high‑voltage testing and qualification activities.
  • Collaborate with AI&T to develop automated test benches and lab infrastructure.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers in power converter design and system integration.
  • Contribute to proposals, trade studies, and technology roadmaps for TMS control systems.
