Job summary

GE Aerospace's Intergalactic team (now part of Unison) seeks an Electrical Systems Engineer to lead high‑reliability digital power conversion and electric drive system development for aerospace applications. You will own architecture, design, verification, and validation of Thermal Management Systems in a cross‑functional environment.

The role emphasizes HV power conversion, DC/DC stages, gate drives, insulation coordination, and rigorous testing (DO160, MIL-STD).

Qualifications

• M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with power electronics focus.
• 15+ years in electrical systems engineering for aerospace or similar.
• Proven leadership in design, verification, and validation of power conversion hardware.
• Experience with high-voltage systems, insulation coordination, HV testing.

Responsibilities

• Own system-level requirements flow-down for digital power conversion hardware.
• Document design decisions and test outcomes with traceability.
• Lead architecture and detailed design of DC/DC stages and control electronics.
• Plan and execute verification and environmental tests per DO160/MIL-STD.
• Define insulation coordination and HV design rules for kilovolt systems.
• Review PCBs and schematics for power stages with cross-functional teams.
• Lead high-voltage testing and qualification activities.
• Mentor early career engineers in power converter design.
• Contribute to proposals and technology roadmaps for TMS controls.
