Job summary

GE Aerospace seeks an Electrical Systems Engineer to lead high‑reliability digital power conversion and electric drive systems. You will drive architecture, verification, and validation of Thermal Management Systems for aerospace applications, coordinating across hardware, test, and manufacturing teams.

You will own requirements flow-down, document design decisions, and mentor engineers while working on HV testing and lab automation. Remote/work onsite options in Utah offer a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline with emphasis in power electronics or electric drives.
• 15+ years of experience in electrical engineering and power electronics for aerospace or similarly demanding applications.
• Proven leadership in design, verification, and qualification of power conversion hardware and controls.

Responsibilities

• Own system-level requirements flow-down for digital power conversion hardware and firmware.
• Lead architecture and detailed design of DC/DC stages, gate drives, and protection circuits.
• Plan and execute verification and validation of digital power systems and hardware.
• Define insulation coordination and HV design rules for kilovolt converters and drives.
• Design and review PCBs and schematics for power stages and sensing modules.
• Lead HV testing activities including corona and insulation tests at altitude and ground level.
• Develop automated test benches and lab infrastructure with AI&T collaboration.
• Mentor early career engineers and drive continuous improvement.
• Contribute to proposals, trade studies, and technology roadmaps.
