Job summary
HDR, Inc. is seeking a Senior Electrical Power Engineer to lead utility-scale power generation projects, mentor engineers, and drive designs for natural gas and renewable energy facilities.
You will contribute toOwner’s Engineer roles, oversee protection, grounding, and control design, and support marketing and fee development. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in power generation, PE licensure, and strong leadership; travel is expected to be under 10% with a focus on collaboration across
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in power market sector projects.
- PE license is required or recognized by the local licensing board.
- Extensive experience in project execution for power generation.
- Experience with simple cycle and combined cycle generation is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead design teams for power generation projects and mentor staff.
- Support client relationships and marketing activities, including proposals.
- Develop and review FEED and execution plans for power plants.
- Coordinate with project managers on reviews and budgets.
- Lead design, protection, grounding and coordination studies.
