Zaddy Solutions in Long Beach, CA is seeking an Electrical Power Design Engineer with 5+ years of experience to lead development of electrical power load studies and construction packages ready for PE stamping. The role involves coordinating with vendors, performing field verifications, and supporting start-up and commissioning activities.

Applicants should have a BS in Electrical Engineering, FE exam completion, and strong AutoCAD/Excel skills, with familiarity in NEC, IEEE 3000 Series, and API

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in development of comprehensive electrical construction and specification packages.
• Experience with load studies, single-line diagrams, plot plans, lighting, grounding, schedules, and specs.
• Knowledge of NEC, IEEE 3000 Series, API 500 (preferred).
• Proficient with AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ETAP, SKM, or EasyPower; GE Multilin and SEL relays.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of electrical power load studies.
• Lead the development of electrical power construction packages stamped by a PE and submitted for plan check.
• Lead development of electrical power specifications for company packages.
• Lead the development of power bills of material and coordinate with vendors for pricing.
• Conduct field verification walkdowns of Electrical and E&I infrastructure.
• Perform factory acceptance testing on electrical power equipment.
• Oversee start-up and commissioning including E&I troubleshooting.
• Provide after-hours support for clients.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure quality and budget.
• Assist PMs in developing cost estimates and proposals; apply cost to labor, expenses, and procurement.
• Travel ±25% as needed.
