Job summary

Fluidstack seeks a Data Center Operations professional to own day-to-day electrical distribution in live hyperscale facilities, managing 480V–15kV+ systems, generators, switchgear and UPS to keep AI workloads running.

Lead switching and energization work per NFPA 70E, drive incident response, build SOPs/MOPs/EOPs, and mentor junior operators to operate independently in a fast-paced, build-to-operate environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with 480V to 15kV+ electrical distribution in live facilities.
• Deep knowledge of generators, MV switchgear, UPS, and monitoring platforms.
• Familiarity with NFPA 70E, arc flash boundaries, and lockout/tagout.
• Proven track record in shift-based or on-call critical facility operations.
• Ability to build procedures for new facilities when documentation is incomplete.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day operation and troubleshooting of electrical distribution in live data centers.
• Lead switching operations and energization work per safety standards.
• Direct electrical incident response and produce root-cause reports.
• Create and maintain SOPs, MOPs, and EOPs for electrical systems.
• Monitor alarms via BMS/EPMS and adjust thresholds.
• Mentor junior operators to operate independently.
