Job summary

Fluidstack is seeking a hands-on Data Center Electrical Operations professional to own day-to-day operation of high-voltage distribution in live data centers. You will lead incident response, restore power, and develop SOPs and training for the operations team.

Ideal candidates have experience with 480V–15kV+ systems, generators, switchgear, and UPS, plus NFPA 70E proficiency and LOTO. This role requires independent work, on-call readiness, and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with 480V to 15kV+ electrical distribution in live data centers.
• Experience with generators, medium-voltage switchgear, and UPS systems.
• Familiarity with BMS/EPMS monitoring platforms.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70E, arc flash boundaries, and LOTO procedures.
• Experience in shift-based or on-call facility operations.
• Ability to write and enforce procedures; independent problem solver.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day operation and troubleshooting of electrical distribution in live data centers.
• Run switching operations and energization per NFPA 70E; document for safety audits.
• Lead electrical incident response, isolate faults, restore power.
• Develop SOPs, MOPs, and EOPs for electrical systems.
• Drive alarm monitoring and tuning using BMS/EPMS.
• Mentor junior operators.
