Job summary

Fluidstack is seeking a seasoned Commissioning Engineer to stand up and validate electrical distribution for mission‑critical data center facilities. You will manage protection schemes, run megawatt‑level load tests, and hold vendors to strict test standards while coordinating with commissioning teams.

The role requires hands‑on experience in Level 2–5 commissioning, plus familiarity with EPMS and high/medium voltage systems.

Qualifications

• You have commissioned electrical systems on mission critical facilities through pull‑the‑plug testing.
• You read one-lines, protection studies, and coordination curves, and catch errors in them.
• You have run load bank testing at megawatt scale.
• You hold vendors to test standards under schedule pressure.
• Bonus: MV and HV systems, EPMS platforms, protective relay testing, PE license.

Responsibilities

• Commission electrical distribution from utility interface to rack: switchgear, UPS, generators, and EPMS from Level 2 through Level 5.
• Write and run test scripts covering protection, transfer schemes, and failure scenarios at full load.
• Oversee NETA testing and vendor startups, verifying results rather than filing them.
• Run integrated systems tests proving the site rides through utility events as the design says.
