Job summary

Fluidstack is seeking a commissioning engineer to stand up and validate electrical distribution for mission critical facilities. You will work on switchgear, UPS, generators, and EPMS, writing and executing protection tests and transfer schemes at full load.

You will oversee NETA testing with vendors, ensure adherence to test standards, and demonstrate site reliability under utility fault scenarios. A PE license and experience with MV/HV systems are a plus.

Qualifications

• Commissioned electrical systems on mission critical facilities through pull-the-plug testing.
• Able to read one-line diagrams, protection studies, and coordination curves and spot errors.
• Experienced with megawatt-scale load bank testing.
• Able to enforce test standards with vendors under tight schedules.

Responsibilities

• Commission electrical distribution from utility interface to rack: switchgear, UPS, generators, and EPMS from Level 2 through Level 5.
• Write and run test scripts covering protection, transfer schemes, and failure scenarios at full load.
• Oversee NETA testing and vendor startups, verifying results rather than filing them.
• Run integrated systems tests to prove site resilience during utility events as designed.
