Job summary

Fluidstack is seeking a Data Center Operations professional to manage live, mission-critical facilities at gigawatt scale. You will oversee real-time load and thermal control across sites, write clear operating procedures and alarm runbooks, and quickly diagnose and fix control faults under load.

Applicants should have hands-on experience with BMS/SCADA/EPMS and be able to balance reliability with efficiency while accommodating evolving hardware and systems. This role is on-site in New York.

Qualifications

• Experience operating live mission-critical facilities, data centers, power, or industrial sites.
• Proficient with BMS/SCADA/EPMS platforms and diagnosing control sequences.
• Ability authoring operating procedures and alarm response runbooks used by others.
• Able to resolve controls faults on a live floor under load.
• Explain tradeoffs between reliability, efficiency, and cost.

Responsibilities

• Operate building management and controls systems (BMS, SCADA, EPMS) for gigawatt-scale data centers.
• Own real-time load and thermal control across sites under construction.
• Write operating procedures, alarm response runbooks, and control sequences.
• Diagnose and resolve controls faults on the floor before training runs.
• Tune control sequences and setpoints to balance reliability, efficiency, and cost as hardware evolves.
