Job summary

Smurfit Westrock plc in Winston-Salem, NC, is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician IV for 1st shift. The role leads advanced electrical and mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of plant equipment with a focus on safety and quality.

Requirements include a high school diploma, 8+ years in electrical maintenance in manufacturing, PLC programming knowledge, and availability for overtime. Pay ranges from $35 to $42 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 8 years’ electrical maintenance experience in industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Military training and/or technical school preferred, but not required.
• Computer experience/operation and PLC Programming.
• Must be available to work 1st shift and OT when needed.
• Ability to maintain various manufacturing equipment, follow specific directions, and perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Lead, plan and review the work of maintenance staff across I, II and III roles.
• Troubleshoot advanced electrical circuits and diagnose failures.
• Perform preventative maintenance on plant machinery and facilities.
• Install, repair and upgrade electrical equipment and control systems.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness of equipment and work area.
