Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in Winston-Salem, NC, is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to support a fast-paced packaging facility. You will operate, test, repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and ensure OSHA-compliant startup/shutdown procedures.

Candidates should have at least 3 years of electrical maintenance experience in manufacturing, a high school diploma, PLC programming, and be available for 3rd shift; health benefits start on day one.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 3 years’ electrical maintenance experience in industrial/manufacturing settings.
• Military training and/or technical school preferred, but not required.
• Computer experience/operation and PLC programming.
• Must be available to work 3rd shift.
• Ability to work safely and follow safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Install, start up and shut down equipment in line with safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
• Inform management of potential electrical/mechanical problems and maintain maintenance records.
• Perform preventative maintenance, assist with technical troubleshooting, and perform other duties as required.
• Demonstrate commitment to safety and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
