Job summary

Smurfit Westrock Company is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician IV for 1st shift in Winston-Salem, NC. This senior role leads complex maintenance tasks, supervises I–III technicians, and troubleshoots mechanical and electrical systems to keep manufacturing equipment running at peak performance.

The ideal candidate has eight+ years in electrical maintenance, PLC programming experience, and a strong safety record. OT may be required; a high school diploma or equivalent is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 8 years’ electrical maintenance experience in industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Military training and/or technical school preferred, but not required.
• Computer experience/operation and PLC Programming
• Must be available to work 1st shift and OT when needed
• Ability to maintain various manufacturing equipment, follow specific directions, and perform other duties as assigned.
• Ability to work safely, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and comply with all safety regulations.
• A thorough knowledge of electrical components and equipment including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes

Responsibilities

• Lead, plan and review the work of Maintenance I, II, and III roles.
• Observe machinery to detect malfunction and perform preventative maintenance.
• Install electronic power, communication, control or security equipment.
• Repair computer controlled manufacturing systems.
• Troubleshoot advanced electrical circuits.
• Operate tools and equipment used in testing and repairs.
