Job summary

cyDaptiv Solutions seeks a Senior Electrical/Mechanical Engineer to provide engineering expertise, technical leadership, and oversight for complex projects. You will represent the company in engineering matters and guide activities within the project’s functional area.

This role is contingent upon contract award and Government approval, with work location and schedule determined by contract requirements. A PE license and 10+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum of ten years in electrical and/or mechanical engineering.
• Management or supervisory experience in the relevant field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles, codes, standards, and practices.
• Ability to review complex designs and communicate with stakeholders.

Overview

cyDaptiv Solutions is seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical/Mechanical Engineer to provide engineering expertise, technical leadership, and support for engineering products and solutions. The successful candidate will represent cyDaptiv Solutions in matters related to electrical and/or mechanical engineering and provide technical oversight within the project’s functional area.

This position is contingent upon cyDaptiv Solutions being awarded the applicable contract. Employment for this role will be dependent upon contract award and Government approval, as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level electrical and/or mechanical engineering expertise in support of contract requirements.
• Develop, evaluate, and recommend engineering products, designs, solutions, and technical approaches.
• Provide technical leadership and oversight for engineering activities within the project’s functional area.
• Review engineering plans, specifications, drawings, calculations, and other technical documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Identify technical risks and recommend appropriate corrective actions or engineering solutions.
• Coordinate engineering activities with project leadership, customers, subcontractors, vendors, and other technical personnel.
• Ensure engineering activities comply with applicable codes, standards, contractual requirements, and industry best practices.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering and technical personnel.
• Participate in technical reviews, project meetings, design discussions, and customer presentations.
• Support project planning, scheduling, implementation, testing, and acceptance activities as required.
• Represent cyDaptiv Solutions professionally when interacting with Government customers and other project stakeholders.
• Maintain appropriate engineering documentation and technical records throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college.
• Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the electrical and/or mechanical engineering field.
• Relevant experience in a management or supervisory capacity.
• Demonstrated experience within the functional area of the project to be managed.
• Current Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Strong knowledge of applicable engineering principles, standards, codes, and industry practices.
• Demonstrated ability to review and evaluate complex technical designs and engineering documentation.
• Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including Government customers.
