Job summary

CM Mission Critical Engineering, a leader in mission-critical infrastructure solutions, seeks an Electrical Engineer in Dallas to join a highly technical team. You will produce detailed construction drawings, perform complex electrical calculations, and coordinate with project teams to ensure on-time delivery.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, 0–7 years of experience, and be proficient with Revit and MS Office. E.I.T.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 0–7 years of electrical engineering design experience preferred.
• E.I.T. certification is preferred but not required.
• PE certification or active licensure pursuit is a plus.
• Experience in mission-critical, industrial, commercial, or similar environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce highly detailed construction drawings and specifications.
• Perform complex electrical engineering calculations.
• Coordinate with internal and external project teams to ensure successful delivery.
• Design power distribution including medium- and low-voltage systems.
• Design lighting systems including photometric analysis and fixture selection.
• Conduct code analysis including NEC, NFPA, IBC, and local amendments.
• Review submittals, RFIs, and construction-phase documentation.
• Participate in internal QA/QC processes to ensure deliverables' accuracy and completeness.
• Support commissioning and project close-out activities.

Job Title: Electrical Engineer

Reports to: Senior Electrical Engineer

Job Summary

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for producing highly detailed construction drawings and specifications, performing complex electrical engineering calculations, & coordinating with internal & external project team members to ensure successful project delivery. This role will be integrated into a highly technical team, demonstrate strong analytical capability, & consistently deliver high‑quality engineering solutions.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Power distribution design including medium‑ & low‑voltage systems
• Lighting system design including photometric analysis & fixture selection
• Emergency/standby power system design including generators, UPS systems, & automatic transfer schemes
• Load calculations, panel schedules, & equipment sizing
• Code analysis including NEC, NFPA, IBC, & local amendments
• Engineering studies including but not limited to fault current analysis, selective coordination, arch flash, voltage drop calculations, and Neher-McGrath calculations.
• Coordination with mechanical, structural, architectural, & low‑voltage disciplines
• Review of submittals, RFIs, & construction‑phase documentation
• Participation in internal QA/QC processes to ensure accuracy & completeness of deliverables

Required Skills/Abilities

• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit for electrical modeling and design
• Strong Microsoft Office skillset (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Exceptional attention to detail & accuracy
• Ability to prioritize tasks & manage multiple deadlines
• Strong organizational skills with consistent on‑time project delivery
• Proven success working with all levels of management & cross‑disciplinary teams
• Strong written & verbal communication skills

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a closely related engineering field is required
• 0–7 years of electrical engineering design experience
• E.I.T. certification preferred but not required
• PE certification or active pursuit of licensure is a plus
• Experience in mission‑critical, industrial, commercial, or similar environments preferred

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk & working on a computer
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
