Job summary

CRB is seeking an Electrical Engineer IV in the St. Louis area to lead electrical design on diverse projects for life sciences and food sectors. You will oversee project budgets, mentor engineers, and coordinate with clients, contractors and internal teams to deliver compliant, high‑quality electrical systems.

You'll design power distribution (4160V, 480V, 240V, 120V), lighting, grounding, and special systems for new builds, while ensuring QA on documents and staying aligned with project goals.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
• PE registration preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of design experience, preferably in a design firm.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary electrical discipline lead for large, complex projects.
• Manage project budgets and schedules from an electrical design perspective.
• Interface with clients, contractors, and external stakeholders.
• Lead electrical system design programming and master planning.
• Design and engineer electrical systems for new builds (4160V/480V/240V/120V).
• Oversee quality assurance for electrical design documents, calculations, and specifications.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
• Support construction activities and progress reporting.
• Develop internal training on electrical design best practices.
• Collaborate with Project Managers on proposals and scheduling.
