Job summary

Hargrove Engineers + Constructors in Memphis, TN is seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Designer to perform complete design of complex assignments. You will generate electrical deliverables with CAD, coordinate with civil, mechanical and process teams, and ensure compliance with NFPA-70, IEEE, ISA and OSHA standards.

The role requires 8+ years of industrial experience and an Associate degree in Engineering Technology or CAD.

Qualifications

8+ years of relevant industrial experience in electrical and instrumentation drafting and design.
Proficient with CAD tools and able to produce SLDs, schematics, P&IDs and related drawings.
Knowledge of NEC/IEEE/ISA/OSHA standards and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

Create electrical and instrumentation deliverables using CAD software (SLDs, schematics, loop diagrams, P&IDs, panels, and layouts).
Prepare BOMs, cable schedules, device lists and scopes of work for projects.
Collaborate with mechanical, process, and structural teams, contractors and field electricians to meet requirements.
Ensure designs comply with regulatory and safety standards (NFPA-70, IEEE, ISA, OSHA).
Coordinate with other designer crafts to minimize impact on other disciplines.
Review and update designs to meet project timelines and client expectations.
