Job summary

Hargrove and Associates, Inc is seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Designer to support industrial projects in a fast-paced manufacturing and chemical plant environment. This role performs routine to moderately complex design tasks while supporting engineers and senior designers on larger projects.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of industrial electrical/instrumentation design experience, field exposure, and proficiency with P&IDs, single-line diagrams, PLCs, DCS, and CAD tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of industrial electrical and instrumentation design experience.
• Experience designing PLC systems and DCS architectures.
• Proficiency with CAD tools such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, and PDMS/E3D.
• Ability to work with engineers and field teams in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute project deliverables with Engineers and Senior Designers.
• Conduct field investigations and document as-built conditions.
• Prepare and review electrical/instrumentation drawings (P&IDs, single-line diagrams, panel schedules).
• Develop material take-offs and assist estimates.
• Support multiple projects while meeting schedules.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and project teams.
• Participate in site visits and ongoing design development.
• Pursue continuous learning to advance design skills.
