Job summary
Hargrove and Associates, Inc in Memphis, TN seeks an electrical and instrumentation engineer to lead design tasks across small and large projects under general supervision. The position involves drafting, calculations, and code-compliant designs, with coordination across disciplines and on-site startup support as needed.
The ideal candidate has 3+ years of electrical/instrumentation experience and a BS/MS in Electrical Engineering; PE preferred.
Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master of Science in Electrical Engineering required.
- Professional Engineer registration preferred.
- 3+ years of industrial electrical/instrumentation experience.
- Knowledge of NEC and electrical codes; ability to size conduit and wiring.
- Experience with CAD drafting standards and vendor drawings.
Responsibilities
- Perform complete electrical and instrumentation designs under supervision.
- Create sketches, calculations and drawings for construction delivery.
- Coordinate with disciplines to ensure smooth information flow.
- Review vendor drawings and develop installation documents.
- Provide field support during commissioning and startup.
- Develop cost estimates and scheduling inputs for projects.
