Westlake seeks an experienced Electrical/I&C engineer to design, specify, and support maintenance projects in a chemical plant environment. You will coordinate with a multi-discipline team to deliver effective electrical and control system solutions, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include procurement oversight, vendor coordination, and field commissioning support. A ABET-accredited degree and 5+ years of industrial experience are preferred.

Qualificações

• Knowledge of electrical distribution and instrumentation standards, codes and regulations.
• Experience with DCS, PLC and SCADA/HMI systems software, hardware and architecture.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with other engineering disciplines and supervisors.
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering from ABET-accredited program.

Responsabilidades

• Design, size and specify electrical, instrumentation and control equipment to energize, indicate, measure and control production processes.
• Establish design criteria, prepare procurement specs, evaluate bids and manage contracts.
• Conceptualize plans and details to convey construction or fabrication requirements.
• Review documents/drawings produced by others for accuracy and completeness.
• Coordinate procurement with purchasing, vendors and stores; expediting materials as needed.
• Check vendor drawings and transfer into project drawings; support field pre-commissioning and start-up.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and OSHA rules; support maintenance group objectives.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and project teamwork.
