Job summary

L3Harris IS&E in Camden, NJ is seeking a Senior Electrical Hardware Engineer to lead high-speed digital circuit design, analysis, and verification on CCAs and PWBs. You will craft schematics, support TI and ECAD collaboration, and drive test and integration activities on secure communication hardware.

You will review requirements, develop design concepts, and ensure robust performance of boards, transceivers, and memory interfaces.

Qualifications

• BSEE degree with 6 years minimum applicable experience required.
• Experience in digital and analog circuit board design and test.
• Hands-on experience with debugging and testing high-speed digital circuits using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other test equipment.
• Experience with schematic capture and Printed Circuit Board (PCB) layout for high-speed digital circuits.
• Familiarity with PCB layout and design rules for high-speed circuits.
• Experience with standard CAD tools, Mentor Graphics Xpedition preferred.
• Knowledge of signal integrity and power integrity principles.
• Basic programming skills in languages such as Python, C, or MATLAB for test automation and data analysis.
• Familiarity with hardware description languages like VHDL or Verilog is a plus.
• Familiarity with standard electronic interfaces, such as I2C, USB, RS-232, Ethernet, SATA, PCIe
• Must have and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and development of high-speed digital Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs) from concept through production.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, software, and systems engineering to ensure cohesive product development.
• Support signal integrity analysis and simulations to optimize high-speed data paths.
• Develop and review detailed schematics, layout designs, and documentation.
• Conduct design reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex design issues.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in high-speed digital design technologies.
