Job summary

L3Harris Technologies, Camden, NJ, seeks a Lead Electrical Hardware Engineer (LMES) to drive end-to-end design of high-speed digital CCAs and PCBs. You will review requirements, develop concepts, and perform detailed electrical design for modules and boards.

You will capture designs with CAD tools, participate in design reviews, and coordinate with ECAD for layout and testing. Prior experience with PWB fabrication and verification is required.

Qualifications

• Requires BSEE with 10+ years in high-speed digital CCA board design.
• Proven track record in high-speed digital design projects.
• Experience debugging/testing high-speed digital circuits with test equipment.
• Extensive CAD/PCB layout experience for high-speed digital circuits.
• Experience with standard CAD tools; Mentor Graphics Xpedition preferred.
• Basic programming in Python, C, or MATLAB for test automation and data analysis a plus.
• Familiarity with interfaces such as 2C, USB, RS-232, Ethernet, SATA, PCIe.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of high-speed CCAs from concept to production.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and systems engineering for cohesive product development.
• Perform signal integrity analysis and simulations to optimize data paths.
• Develop and review schematics, layouts, and documentation.
• Conduct design reviews and guide junior engineers.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex design issues.
• Stay updated with advancements in high-speed digital design.
