Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise invites applications for a Senior Electrical/Hardware Engineer to join the on-site team in Texas. You will lead multiple hardware design projects, manage internal and external partners, and ensure compliance with engineering standards while guiding junior staff.

You will contribute to architecture, thermal management, and advanced interconnects like PCIe Gen5, with emphasis on server-grade hardware and emerging technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
• 6+ years of experience in Electrical design including x86 architectures
• Experience with high speed buses like PCIe, DDR4 or DDR5
• Experience with PCIe Gen5 and future
• Demonstrated experience with Server Design
• Using electrical design tools and software packages
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Experience in overall architecture of electronic hardware for products and solutions
• Designing and integrating electronic components, integrated circuitry, and algorithms into overall architecture
• Evaluating and proposing forms of empirical analysis, modeling and testing methodologies
• Ability to communicate product architectures and negotiate options at senior management levels

Responsibilities

• Leads multiple project teams of electrical hardware engineers and partners across the design and development lifecycle
• Manages relationships with internal and outsourced development partners on electrical hardware design
• Reviews designs and activities for compliance with guidelines and standards; provides feedback to improve quality
• Provides domain‑specific expertise and leadership for cross‑organization projects
• Drives innovation and integration of new technologies into hardware projects
• Mentors less‑experienced staff members
