Job summary

Ameren Services, the shared services arm supporting Ameren Corporation, is seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead design reviews, drive improvements for system efficiency, diagnose electrical issues, perform field inspections, and coordinate installations with FM&C project teams. The role requires a BSE in Electrical (ABET) and 5+ years of engineering experience, with PE license preferred.

Occasional travel to regional offices and on-call support may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering (BSE - Electrical) from an ABET accredited institution required.
• PE License preferred.
• Five or more years of relevant engineering experience required.
• Experience with facilities or commercial electrical infrastructure design preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills; able to work with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for project design review to ensure consistency with FM&C design standards and requirements.
• Implement design improvements to enhance system efficiency and reduce operational costs.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation.
• Perform field inspections, monitor operation, provide preventive maintenance recommendations.
• Coordinate electrical system installations and upgrades with engineers, architects, and facility managers.
• Maintain documentation of electrical designs, maintenance schedules, and repair records.
• Lead electrical engineering projects from conception to completion.
• Develop engineering solutions, cost and schedule estimates for small projects.
