Job summary

Ameren Services (B&CS) in Missouri is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to review designs, lead electrical projects, and improve facility reliability. You will work with FM&C teams to ensure compliance with standards, diagnose issues, and implement cost-effective upgrades across building systems.

The role requires a BSE Electrical degree, 5+ years of relevant experience, and the potential for a PE license. Travel between regional offices and occasional after-hours work are possible.

Qualifications

• BSE (Electrical) from ABET-accredited institution required.
• PE License preferred.
• Five or more years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience in facilities or commercial electrical infrastructure design preferred.
• BAS or PLC experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review electrical design to ensure compliance with FM&C standards.
• Implement design improvements to boost system efficiency and reduce costs.
• Diagnose electrical issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Perform field inspections and provide preventive maintenance recommendations.
• Coordinate electrical system installations and upgrades with project teams.
• Verify scope of new electrical systems and oversee commissioning.
• Maintain documentation of designs, maintenance, and repairs.
• Lead electrical projects from conception to completion.
• Provide engineering support to critical FM&C facilities and centers.
• Manage building controls systems to improve efficiency and enable condition-based maintenance.
