Job summary

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BSE in Electrical required.
• PE license preferred.
• Five or more years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience in facilities or commercial electrical infrastructure design preferred.
• Building Automation System and/or PLC experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review designs to ensure consistency with FM&C design standards and requirements.
• Implement design improvements to enhance system efficiency and reduce operational costs.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation.
• Perform field inspections, monitor operation, provide preventive maintenance recommendations.
• Coordinate electrical system installations and upgrades with engineers, architects, project managers, and facility managers.
• Verify scope of new electrical systems is archived and oversee commissioning and equipment turnover.
• Maintain documentation of electrical system designs, maintenance schedules, and repair records.
• Lead electrical engineering projects from conception to completion with cost and schedule estimates.
• Provide engineering assistance to FM&C critical facilities and Operating Centers.
• Manage building controls systems to improve equipment efficiencies and troubleshoot.
• Travel between regional offices occasionally.
