Job summary

General Dynamics Mission Systems seeks an Electrical Facilities Design Lead to guide multiple subsystems from concept to final installation in mission-critical facility infrastructure. You will drive architecture, requirements discussions, and design—power distribution, grounding, load calculations, arc flash analysis, and integration—while testing and ensuring schedule and budget in a secure defense environment.

Travel up to 25% may be required. This on-site role is based in Pittsfield, MA.

Qualifications

• Experience leading design teams of engineers on complex facility projects.
• Strong knowledge of NEC and NFPA standards and facility electrical safety requirements.
• Experience with UPS systems, emergency power, switchgear, and PDU design and integration.
• Ability to drive architecture discussions and design from concept to installation.
• Experience with arc flash analysis and power distribution schematics.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture discussions and design for facility electrical subsystems.
• Guide component selection and design for power distribution, grounding, and PDU integration.
• Oversee testing, verification, qualification, and system integration.
• Coordinate with program management and other disciplines in a risk-based approach.
• Travel up to 25% to customer sites and field locations.
