Job summary

WSP Global Inc. seeks a Senior Electrical Estimator to support WMATA capital projects within the owner’s project controls team. You will independently prepare, review, reconcile, and defend cost estimates for transit facilities and rail systems from concept through construction and change control.

You will lead estimate reviews, perform detailed quantity takeoffs, evaluate design information, and mentor junior estimators while ensuring compliance with project controls and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of electrical construction estimating experience.
• Experience with transit/rail or similar complex public infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual to construction cost estimates for electrical systems.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop labor, material, and indirect costs.
• Prepare basis-of-estimate narratives and ensure alignment with project controls.
• Lead estimate reviews and explain major cost drivers to stakeholders.
• Mentor estimators and maintain audit trails for estimates.
