Job summary

Jobot seeks an experienced Electrical Estimator (Substations) to join our team in Akron, OH. You will prepare cost estimates for electrical substation projects, review blueprints, and ensure compliance with codes while collaborating with project managers and engineers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in electrical estimating, focused on substations and/or transmission and MV/HV utility projects.
• Proficiency in Accubid and EBM estimating software.
• In-depth understanding of electrical code compliance.
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare accurate cost estimates and proposals.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates for electrical substation, transmission, and BESS construction projects, including labor, materials, and equipment.
• Review blueprints, plans, and specifications to understand scope and determine requirements.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes and regulations.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to gather information for estimates.
• Prepare and submit competitive proposals and bids to win projects.
• Use Accubid and EBM to improve estimate accuracy and efficiency.
