Job summary

Tri-City Electrical Contractors Inc. is seeking a Senior Estimating Manager in Florida to lead take-off for electrical drawings and ensure compliance with codes and contract documents.

You will oversee the estimating team, coordinate cost analyses, and drive bid quality across complex projects. The role requires extensive electrical estimating experience, proficiency with Accubid and estimating software, and strong reading of contract documents.

Qualifications

• Four plus (4+) years of Electrical Estimating experience with related degree or equivalent
• Comprehensive knowledge of estimating fundamentals
• Advanced knowledge/experience with Accubid and estimating software
• Experience in design and layout of electrical systems and ability to estimate multiple projects concurrently
• Ability to read and interpret contract documents and communicate in English at a 12th-grade level

Responsibilities

• Perform complete estimates on large to complex projects.
• Supervise and coordinate the estimating team in the take-off process.
• Perform or approve calculations and electrical design for design-build projects.
• Read and interpret contract documents.
• Perform pre-bid reviews.
• Identify cost-effective means to perform work and increase competitiveness.
• Prepare and submit RFIs during the bid process.
• Set up breakdown charts, fixture schedules, and switchgear schedules for new projects.
• Prepare scope of work and evaluate quotations from suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Participate in final negotiations and business development of new clients.
• Attend and perform job turnover meetings and assist in developing estimating procedures.
• Assist in achieving department sales and gross margin objectives.
