Job summary

IBidElectric LLC in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Chief Electrical Estimator to lead major electrical estimates for complex commercial, industrial, data center, and mission-critical projects. The role requires coordinating estimating teams, reviewing bids, and developing competitive pricing while managing risk from preconstruction through final proposal.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in chief-level estimating, strong NEC knowledge, and experience with large-scale electrical projects.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of chief-level electrical estimating experience or senior leadership in estimating.
• Experience with large commercial, industrial, data center projects and fast-track work.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, electrical systems, and pricing principles.
• Ability to read complex drawings, specs, and bid docs.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation of accurate and competitive estimates for large projects.
• Review drawings, specs, addenda, bid documents, schedules, and contracts.
• Develop detailed labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor pricing.
• Evaluate supplier quotations for scope, coverage, and risk.
• Coordinate with PMs, engineers, vendors, and internal teams to improve estimates.
• Lead bid reviews, pricing strategy, and final proposal preparation.
• Identify scope gaps, constructability concerns, and project risks.
• Develop value-engineering options to improve cost and competitiveness.
• Support design-build, design-assist, and fast-track pursuits.
• Maintain knowledge of electrical construction methods and market conditions.
• Use Accubid software to develop detailed estimates and proposals.
• Lead and mentor estimating staff and establish standards.
