Job summary

IBidElectric LLC in San Francisco, CA seeks a seasoned Chief Electrical Estimator to lead estimates for complex commercial, industrial, data center, and mission-critical projects. The role entails directing estimating teams, developing competitive pricing, and guiding bid strategy from preconstruction through final proposal.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years at chief estimator level, with extensive experience in large electrical projects, and proficiency with Accubid/Trimble estimating tools.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of chief-level electrical estimating experience or senior leadership in estimating
• Experience estimating large commercial, industrial, and data center projects
• Ability to lead estimating teams and coordinate multiple pursuits
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, NEC, and pricing principles
• Experience with design-build, fast-track, and preconstruction environments

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of accurate and competitive electrical estimates for large projects
• Review drawings, specs, bid documents, and schedules to determine electrical scope
• Develop detailed labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor pricing
• Evaluate quotations for coverage, compliance, and risk
• Coordinate with PMs, engineers, vendors, and internal teams
• Lead bid reviews, pricing strategy, and final proposal preparation
• Identify scope gaps, constructability concerns, and project risks
• Develop value-engineering options to improve cost and competitiveness
• Support conceptual estimating and various delivery methods
• Maintain knowledge of electrical construction methods and market conditions
• Use Accubid/Trimble software to develop estimates and proposals
• Mentor estimators and establish estimating standards
• Support project turnover with clear scope, pricing, and procurement requirements
