Job summary

DPR Construction is seeking a senior estimator to lead the development and execution of complex cost estimates, influencing project acquisition and profitability. The role coordinates with project teams and external partners to align estimating strategies with business objectives.

Requires 6–8 years in estimating or related fields, a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, and strong leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, related field or equivalent experience required.
6 - 8 years of estimating, cost analysis, project controls, or related field experience.
1 - 2 years of managerial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Leads preparation and validation of comprehensive cost estimates for complex or high-value projects.
Directs multidisciplinary teams in review of project documentation, risk analysis, and constructability assessments.
Develops and implements advanced estimating tools, methodologies, and benchmarking processes.
Advises executive leadership on cost strategies, risk mitigation, and leads value engineering efforts.
Negotiates with vendors, subcontractors, and partners to secure optimal pricing and terms.
Drives continuous improvement by evaluating estimating performance and capturing lessons learned.
Mentors team members on complex estimating processes and procedures.
